
According to an official announcement on its social media platforms on Wednesday, Dembe FM will resume its normal broadcasts on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
The Namuwongo-based radio station temporarily shut down in December 2023 due to financial struggles to the extent that they could not pay the workers.
This restructuring led to the abrupt layoff of several renowned Ugandan radio presenters, some of whom were among the country’s most celebrated media personalities and many have since failed to fight employment anywhere while others like Kasuku, Jekins turned to YouTube and luseke as the means of survival.
