Chameleone’s illness. Musician Dr. Jose Chameleone’s son, Abba Marcus Mayanja, has disclosed his father’s health struggles. The Leone Island boss has become a subject of conversation recently after being taken to Nakasero Hospital in a critical state. There has been much speculation surrounding the nature of the singer’s ailment.
Now, his eldest son, Abba, has spoken out, asserting that his mother is not involved in his father’s health issues. He stated that his father is suffering from acute pancreatitis, which is a result of ongoing alcohol misuse.

Abba mentioned that his father has repeatedly been advised by medical professionals to stop consuming alcohol, but he hasn’t heeded this advice. He revealed that doctors warned him he has only two years to live if he continues drinking but he still refuses to quit.
“I want to make it clear that my mother is not responsible for my father’s condition. He has acute pancreatitis, which has developed due to habitual alcohol abuse, leading to his significant weight loss,” he explained.

He continued by expressing that he understands his father’s alcohol use may stem from the pressures of being a prominent public figure. Nonetheless, he feels that it is a selfish choice, as he has children and fans who care for him and desire a long and healthy life for him.
In addition, Abba placed some responsibility on his grandparents, whom he referred to as the most irresponsible parents. According to him, two of his uncles have already lost their lives to alcohol consumption, and they seem to stand by as another family member is on the brink of death.

Abba also pointed out that his paternal family would not hold their current name if it were not for his father. Thus, it’s disheartening that they have neglected him and allowed him to deteriorate.
